Job Overview
The Cost Analysis Executive will support financial planning and operational decision-making by conducting cost evaluations, comparing actual expenses with projections, and preparing cost-related project reports. The role is ideal for MBA freshers who possess analytical thinking, strong numerical ability, and a keen interest in financial insights, cost optimization, and return on investment assessments.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze cost structures for ongoing and upcoming projects to ensure financial efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
Prepare and maintain detailed project reports, including financial breakdowns, costing summaries, and deviation analyses.
Assist in evaluating Return on Investment (ROI) for proposed business initiatives and provide cost-benefit analyses.
Support budgeting activities, including tracking expenditures, identifying variances, and preparing periodic cost statements.
Coordinate with various departments to gather project-related financial data for cost assessment and reporting.
Maintain and update cost databases, financial spreadsheets, and documentation for internal audit and compliance.
Assist in forecasting project expenses and preparing comparison reports between budgeted and actual costs.
Monitor operational expenses and recommend cost-saving opportunities based on financial analysis.
Present findings, interpretations, and recommendations to management through reports, charts, and presentations.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in maintaining project financial records and management reports.
Essential Qualifications
MBA in Finance, Accounting, or a related specialization (Freshers preferred).
Strong academic foundation in financial management, costing principles, and project finance.
Knowledge of ROI concepts, budgeting, and project report preparation.
Key Skills Required
Strong analytical and numerical ability.
Proficiency in MS Excel, financial spreadsheets, and data interpretation.
Basic understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Knowledge of Return on Investment (ROI) analysis and basic project financials.
