Job Overview

The Cost Analysis Executive will support financial planning and operational decision-making by conducting cost evaluations, comparing actual expenses with projections, and preparing cost-related project reports. The role is ideal for MBA freshers who possess analytical thinking, strong numerical ability, and a keen interest in financial insights, cost optimization, and return on investment assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze cost structures for ongoing and upcoming projects to ensure financial efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed project reports, including financial breakdowns, costing summaries, and deviation analyses.

  • Assist in evaluating Return on Investment (ROI) for proposed business initiatives and provide cost-benefit analyses.

  • Support budgeting activities, including tracking expenditures, identifying variances, and preparing periodic cost statements.

  • Coordinate with various departments to gather project-related financial data for cost assessment and reporting.

  • Maintain and update cost databases, financial spreadsheets, and documentation for internal audit and compliance.

  • Assist in forecasting project expenses and preparing comparison reports between budgeted and actual costs.

  • Monitor operational expenses and recommend cost-saving opportunities based on financial analysis.

  • Present findings, interpretations, and recommendations to management through reports, charts, and presentations.

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in maintaining project financial records and management reports.

  • Essential Qualifications

  • MBA in Finance, Accounting, or a related specialization (Freshers preferred).

  • Strong academic foundation in financial management, costing principles, and project finance.

  • Knowledge of ROI concepts, budgeting, and project report preparation.

  • Key Skills Required

  • Strong analytical and numerical ability.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, financial spreadsheets, and data interpretation.

  • Basic understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
