You will be the Cost Estimator Staff for the team. Our team is responsible for providing accurate cost estimates that enable successful design, manufacturing, and fielding of advanced missile‑defense systems at the Chelmsford Operations facility. Lockheed Martin’s Chelmsford Operations facility is a design and manufacturing site that supports Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Air and Missile Defense programs. The 68,000-square-foot facility is located in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. The facility was acquired by Lockheed Martin in 1996 to support critical technology in Missile Defense.
Chelmsford’s more than 450 employees provide engineering and production support for two of MFC’s premier combat-proven missile systems—the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Weapon System and Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missile. The Chelmsford team designs and produces components for both systems.



What You Will Be Doing


As the Cost Estimator Staff you will be responsible for developing and maintaining cost models that support the design and production of THAAD and PAC‑3 missile components.


Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



  • Generate detailed cost estimates for new designs, modifications, and production runs.

  • Analyze bill‑of‑materials, labor, and overhead data to ensure pricing accuracy.

  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to validate assumptions.

  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities and recommend alternatives.

  • Prepare and present cost reports to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

    MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires selected candidate must possess ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

    Desired skills

    BSIE, Manufacturing Engineering or prior proposal
    experience. Experience working in a manufacturing
    environment, including knowledge of industrial labor.
