Job Description
- Study customer drawings and specifications for sheet metal parts and assemblies
- Prepare cost estimates and quotations for laser cutting, bending, welding, machining, and finishing processes
- Estimate manufacturing cycle times and labor costs.
- Evaluate tooling, fixtures, and special process requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality, and Sales teams for accurate costing.
- Analyze BOM and routing for cost optimization.
- Support negotiation and price revision activities.
- Maintain costing records and update standard cost data.
- Assist in value engineering and cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure quotations are submitted on time as per customer requirements.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal processes: laser cutting, turret punching, bending, welding, and surface finishing.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
