Job Description
- Standard Cost Maintenance: Establish and update standard costs for raw materials, direct labor, and manufacturing overhead within the company’s ERP system.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of production variances (material price, labor efficiency, and overhead spending), investigating root causes to identify operational inefficiencies.
- Inventory Valuation & Control: Monitor and reconcile inventory balances, and perform cycle count audits to ensure records match actual stock.
- Month-End Close Support: Prepare timely and accurate journal entries and account reconciliations specifically related to the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and inventory sub-ledgers.
- Product Profitability Reporting: Analyze and report on gross profit margins by product category or department, highlighting trends that impact overall business profitability.
