Job Summary
The Cost/Pricing Analyst III provides senior-level expertise to the Chief of Pricing by delivering advanced guidance and strategic recommendations on highly complex cost and pricing issues critical to Air Force acquisition and sustainment. This role requires independent judgment and deep technical knowledge to resolve pricing challenges on mission-critical Federal and DoD programs. As a senior analyst, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor for high-visibility initiatives, performing comprehensive cost and pricing analyses while supporting innovative procurement solutions essential to national security. Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Strategic Pricing Leadership: Serve as a principal advisor to procurement and pricing teams, providing authoritative guidance on complex cost and pricing matters and recommending compliant, effective pricing strategies.
  • Advanced Proposal Evaluation: Lead in-depth evaluations of contract price proposals for accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Technical Expertise: Act as a technical authority on pricing matters, mentoring specialists and guiding issue resolution with enterprise-level impact.
  • Independent Cost Analysis: Perform comprehensive pricing analyses for major acquisitions, including risk assessments and evaluation of government assistance, capital investments, and subcontracting complexity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Contracting Officers to develop cost objectives and acquisition strategies across multiple disciplines.
  • Policy & Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of pricing policies, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize advanced Excel capabilities to conduct data analysis, cost projections, and generate clear, actionable pricing documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications Required
  • Education: Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MS), or Master of Engineering (ME) in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum of ten () years of relevant DoD, IC, or industry experience At least two () years in a SAP or SCI environment At least one () year of SAP/SCI experience within the past five () years
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for a Government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI Poly).
  • License: Valid and active driver’s license.

  • Cost Analysis & Pricing Expertise: Advanced knowledge of cost analysis principles, CAS, and DoD pricing regulations.
  • Regulatory Mastery: Deep understanding of Federal, DoD, and Air Force contracting and pricing policies.
  • Independent Problem Solving: Proven ability to resolve highly complex pricing issues with minimal oversight.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Excel for data analysis, projections, and documentation.
  • Communication & Advisory Skills: Ability to clearly convey complex technical information to senior stakeholders.

  • Travel Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS as required; travel is expected to be infrequent, if at all. Physical Demands The employee is regularly required to sit and communicate verbally. Repetitive motions involving hands and arms are common. The role may occasionally require walking, standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or lifting up to pounds. Close vision is required. Work Environment Primarily a temperature-controlled office environment with regular exposure to electronic office equipment. Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, or loud noise may occur during operational site visits.
