This opportunity is ideal for experienced CVOR surgical technologists seeking an engaging contract role in a well-established healthcare environment. The position involves supporting a busy Cardiovascular Operating Room team performing a wide variety of complex cardiothoracic, vascular, and thoracic surgical cases. Candidates should have a solid background in scrub tech duties with specialized skills in CVOR procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist surgical teams in advanced CVOR cases, including CABG, TAVR, vascular bypasses, and robotic thoracic resections
- Scrub and manage surgical instruments for a wide range of specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, and robotics
- Collaborate closely with anesthesia providers, charge nurses, and OR assistants to ensure efficient room turnover and patient positioning
- Maintain adherence to sterile protocols and safety standards within a high-volume OR setting averaging 45 cases daily
- Respond promptly to call requirements, including weeknight and weekend rotations with a 30-minute response time and sleep room availability
- Participate in a 6-week rotating schedule covering day shifts primarily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with some schedule variations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech educational program required
- BLS certification mandatory; national surgical tech certification preferred
- Minimum two years of recent OR experience, with strong emphasis on CVOR cases, including cardiothoracic, vascular, and thoracic surgeries
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with excellent communication skills

Additional Details:
- Contract position with shift hours generally scheduled as 12-hour days, with night call duties starting between 5:00 PM and 7:00 AM
- Paid holidays covered through call rotation
- Orientation consists of five 8-hour shifts over two weeks; scheduling accommodations possible with management approval
