CRANE OPERATOR (RIGGING WORKER/MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR)

The primary purpose of this position is to independently perform a wide range of cargo processing operations,including rigging and operations of a 35 ton bridge crane; inspection, certification, blocking/bracing of hazardousand explosive cargo; and the operating of various types of heavy vehicles and material handling equipment. Responsibilities Operate bridge crane. Performs visual and operational checks of all moving parts prior to start of work and reports any discrepancies noted. Selects and utilizes proper rigging equipment. Supports management and local directives. Operates 5-ton tractor/trailer and various general-purpose vehicles within the confines of the installation to include the flightline.
