Capabilities, Experience & Qualification Requirements
- 3-8 years experience working across Credit Risk, Customer Workout or Business execution roles in a Large Financial Institution.
- An understanding of risks associated with financial services (eg. Operational Risk, Compliance,) Reputational Risk, Process Risk, Conduct Risk, product Design and Implementation Risk, Credit Risk)
- Strong willingness to learn and improve technology skills
- Proficient in use of core NAB software programs with reporting capabilities: Excel, Power Curve IAS and Power BI is highly beneficial and viewed as favourable
- Strong business acumen - business and financial judgement, problem solving skills and ability to distil large volumes of data / information
- Knowledge of Australian prudential standards (ASIC and APRA), and particularly, APS 220, the National Consumer Credit Protection Act (NCCP), and the Australian Banking Code of Practice (BCo P)
- Experience facing into multiple stakeholders and being able to effectively navigate the organisation
- Established written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact, challenge and influence with key stakeholders
- Enjoys working with data and has capability to generate high quality reporting
- Experience in working in an environment subject to transformation.
- Proven problem-solving skills and dealing with ambiguity. Resilient & Confident
Key Accountabilities
- Support on-time delivery of assigned review activities.
- Support the delivery of CAVA yearly Operating Plan in the context of internal and external obligations and expectations.
- Apply high quality standards relating to written and verbal communication delivered with deductive and logical reasoning, and in a clear, concise and succinct manner.
- Ensure reviews are conclusion based with high quality insights and where appropriate incorporate a "so what" element as to what action is required, who is accountable, by when does it need to be addressed and what is the feedback loop that provides confidence it has been resolved on a sustainable basis.
- Engages with stakeholders, digital participation and collaboration in Workplace supporting the CAVA communication plan, attends relevant Risk events such as roadshows and broader organisational event roll outs.
- Maintain adequate focus on resolution of review outcomes through appropriate governance mechanisms.
- Supports a culture of Continuous Improvement through ongoing refinement of key CAVA processes and systems.
Qualification Requirements
- Tertiary qualification/s in relevant fields like Risk Management.
- Other relevant qualifications including post graduate qualifications such as an MBA is considered beneficial.
