Mid-Day is looking for a Junior Crime Reporter with 1–2 years of reporting experience. The role involves covering crime-related news, developing accurate and impactful stories, and working closely with the editorial team in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

Experience: 1–2 Years

Location: Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

• Cover daily crime news and related developments.
• Report from the field and gather verified information from reliable sources.
• Write clear, factual, and timely crime reports.
• Track crime beats, police updates, and court-related news.
• Coordinate with editors and meet strict newsroom deadlines.
• Build and maintain contacts within police, legal, and local sources.
• Ensure accuracy, ethics, and responsible reporting.

Skills & Requirements:

• 1–2 years of experience in crime or beat reporting.
• Strong news sense and attention to detail.
• Good command over written English.
• Ability to work under pressure and odd hours if required.
• Willingness to be on the field and respond to breaking news.
• Basic knowledge of digital and social media platforms is a plus.
