Role Overview

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who can own backend systems end-to-end—designing, building, scaling, and optimizing high-performance services. This role demands strong fundamentals in Java-based backend engineering, real-world microservices experience, and the maturity to make architectural trade-offs.

Key Responsibilities

  Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot

  Build and manage microservices-based architectures with clean service boundaries

  Develop and consume RESTful APIs with strong focus on performance, security, and reliability

  Implement event-driven systems using Kafka for real-time data processing

  Optimize database interactions using Hibernate/JPA and best practices

  Collaborate closely with frontend, data, DevOps, and product teams

  Ensure code quality through reviews, unit testing, and adherence to engineering standards

  Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause analysis
