Job Description

Position Summary

:

With increased digitization and the increased presence of non-human creativity, many media forms are moving from extraction to abstraction. They are becoming more general and less meaningful, from storytelling to information pages. Abstractive media clearly relates to ideas in abstract art, and related theorizing, but has also appeared as digital music. Abstractive media is becoming present in other media such as video, where some confuse them with deep fakes, but abstractive media is non-representational, but meaningful. It is not merely the false representation of human interests, but abstractive media is a new mode of mediation for its audiences.
