Overview

Permanent full-time and part-time opportunities are available in the Sterilising Department at Cairns Private Hospital. The anticipated start date is February 2026. While a Certificate in Sterilisation Services and/or previous experience is desirable, it is not essential, and comprehensive training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the cleaning, assembly, inspection, wrapping, and sterilisation of surgical instruments and medical equipment for both internal clinical departments and external customers.
• Work collaboratively with Operating Theatre staff to ensure the timely delivery of sterile products, trays, and equipment.
• Contribute to a high-performing team environment that manages workflow efficiently and meets critical deadlines.
• Undertake manual handling tasks and work on your feet for the duration of your shift.
