This opportunity calls for a skilled Radiologic Technologist with dual modality expertise in both Diagnostic X-ray and CT imaging, ideally with Emergency Department experience in a trauma setting. The position supports a 14-bed freestanding Emergency Department known for providing high-quality, rapid emergency care.

Location:
Situated in Kannapolis, NC, this facility serves a diverse patient population presenting with emergency conditions such as motor vehicle collisions, respiratory distress, falls, injuries, and deep vein thrombosis. The department utilizes advanced imaging technologies including a GE 16-slice CT scanner, Siemens Acuson Sequoia ultrasound, Shimadzu and Philips X-ray equipment, and operates with EPIC EMR and Philips ISite/PACS systems to ensure seamless care and imaging workflow.

Schedule & Shift Details:

  • 12-hour day shifts (07:00-19:00) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • Weekend and holiday rotations required
  • On-call expectations include two shifts per month rotating between nearby emergency sites (Harrisburg and Kannapolis), approximately 20-25 minutes apart
  • Orientation includes three days of department-specific training

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality DX and CT imaging independently, handling an average of 40 diagnostic and 35 CT scans daily, including stroke codes
  • Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with 2-3 technologists per shift and a supervisor available during weekdays
  • Contribute to the fast-paced care of emergency patients by accurately capturing images critical to diagnosis and treatment
  • Participate in call coverage and weekend rotations as part of the clinical schedule

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience, preferably within emergency/trauma settings
  • National ARRT certifications for Radiography (R) and CT required
  • BLS certification mandatory
  • Ability to work independently and proficiently manage dual imaging responsibilities
  • Flexibility to fulfill on-call requirements and weekend rotations
