Job Title: CT TechnologistJob DescriptionAdminister radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously under the supervision of a physician to detect or treat diseases using radioisotope equipment. Calculate, measure, and record radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals received, used, and disposed of using a computer, following the physician's prescription. Detect and map radiopharmaceuticals in patients' bodies using a camera to produce photographic or computer images.
The CT Technologist is responsible for caring for patients while operating equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic medical images for interpretation. This role involves EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, patient positioning, providing procedure information, and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all PET examinations. The technologist ensures compliance with ALARA and all regulatory requirements for safe and appropriate patient care.
