Cultural Services Program Leader - Visual Arts

Overview

The City of Delta is looking for dynamic, creative, and energetic Visual Arts Instructors to teach our recreational visual arts programs for all ages and abilities. The Leader will develop and implement quality, instructional, and engaging classes in drawing, painting, mixed media, anime, textiles, clay, collage, and/or photography. Other visual arts mediums will be considered. Programs run on a weekly basis during weekday mornings, weekday after school/evenings and weekends. Week-long camps run Monday – Friday over the summer.

Qualifications

• Educational background in visual arts either through continued professional development or through completion of accredited programs
• Have a strong teaching background and experience instructing visual arts to a variety of age groups
• Knowledge and experience in an array of art disciplines is an asset
