Customer Account Manager – TMT Projects
Location
Kolkata
Purpose - Why does this role exist?
Responsible for driving TMT Projects sales in East region. This role involves working closely with Project customers, Builders, Architects, Consultants and EPC; in addition this role involves working in coordination with Branch Manager and retail ASM to identify new project leads and service existing customers. Involves extensive across East region
Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators)
• Building sales volume for TMT Projects in East region
• Identify on-going and up-coming projects in the region and initiate activity for
order conversion
• Develop relationship with Project customers, PSU, Govt. agencies and Private Projects
• Coordination with major product approval authorities and key consultants along
with BD team
• Market intelligence competitor price offering in projects and other related developments
Critical Tasks
KRA’s and Key Activities
- To achieve set sales target for the region - Project TMT sales
- Lead generation and convert leads into sales
- Market Intelligence – Collate information on competition pricing, competition marketing activities, analyse competition schemes and report on a regular basis
- Building relationship with Major project customers and approving authorities
- To work on major project approval in coordination with BD team and obtain the approvals in time bound manner
Decision making authority (Decisions expected)
- Follow price guideline and close project orders as per the organization policy
- Order execution – closely coordinate with CSD/SCM for timely execution of orders
Educational Background and Work Experience
- Engineer or Science graduate with MBA
- Minimum 7 years’ Work experience in sales & marketing in any of the following industries - Steel/ Cement / Construction chemicals -preferable with TMT project background
Competencies
Flair for sales, experience in dealing with project customers, Product knowledge, ability to build customer relationship, project tracking from lead generation till execution by interacting with multiple agencies and stakeholders

- To cover entire east region – involves extensive travelling
- Project Distributor management
- Build relationship with all key customers
- Build sales volume
- Effectively use BD team
- Maintain strict differentiation between retail and project business
