Gallagher Re is seeking a highly motivated Customised Solutions - Divisional Director to join our growing Customised Solutions EMEA team. This position is open to candidates based in Paris, Munich, Cologne, Rome, or Prague. Gallagher Re’s Customised Solutions practice group specialises in helping clients optimise their balance sheets and manage risk exposure through bespoke structured reinsurance and capital solutions. With widespread market dislocation, interest in structured solutions is at an all-time high. The Customised Solutions EMEA Group plays a pivotal role in origination, coordinating sales planning, establishing best practices, and executing transactions. A key aspect of this role involves maintaining close collaboration with risk carriers and their structuring teams. As our clients demand continuous innovation, this role will enhance our capabilities and support our ambitious growth objectives. The position encompasses engagement across all aspects of Customised Solutions, including: Prospective solutions such as holistic structured quota shares, stop-loss covers, multi-year spread loss, aggregate/XoL covers, and alternative capital solutions. Retrospective solutions such as Loss Portfolio Transfers, Adverse Development Covers, and hybrid solutions that combine retrospective and prospective covers. The role also involves analysing balance sheet and profit and loss impacts under various accounting standards and risk-based capital frameworks. How you'll make an impact You will support the delivery of key solutions provided by the Customised Solutions EMEA Group across the international business unit, with a primary focus on EMEA. These solutions include structured prospective and retrospective reinsurance, as well as alternative capital solutions. This role is ideal for someone with solid technical expertise who is eager to apply their skills in a front-office, client-facing capacity. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Supporting local broking teams in sourcing and executing transactions. Delivering value-added analysis for clients, including support for structured reinsurance and capital transactions. Enhancing our actuarial and analytical toolkit to support client solutions, including pricing, capital and structure optimisation, and visualisation tools. This will involve leveraging the latest platforms and modelling approaches, including AI and data science-driven methods. Using market financial data to generate insights and identify new opportunities. About you What You Will Bring We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills: Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience at a reinsurer, reinsurance broker, or consultancy. Expertise in reserving and capital modelling, with strong experience in customised reinsurance solutions being highly desirable. A solid understanding of insurance company financials under various frameworks, including Solvency II, IFRS 17, and GAAP Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including VBA) and MS PowerPoint. Familiarity with accounting principles and practices. Attributes: A strong client and business focus, with the ability to deliver innovative, tailored solutions to complex client challenges. Confident, proactive, and an excellent communicator. Fluency in English (additional language skills are a plus). Interested?
