Customs Affairs Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Customs Clearance Operations
  • Lead end-to-end import and export customs clearance for raw materials, chemicals, machinery, and equipment.
  • Prepare and review customs declarations and inspection documents (K1–K9, COO, DG documents, packaging certificates, inspection forms).
  • Coordinate with JKDM, freight forwarders, and internal teams for timely cargo release.
  • Handle duty/tax calculations and payment arrangements.
  • Manage temporary import/export, extensions, inspections, and maritime declarations.
• Compliance & Regulatory Affairs
  • Monitor Malaysian Customs Act 1967, tariff updates, and FTAs (ACFTA, RCEP).
  • Ensure full compliance with customs laws and trade regulations.
  • Manage customs audits and inspections with complete documentation.
  • Maintain import duty ledger and conduct internal compliance reviews.
