Customs Coordinator (f/m/d)

To support our Customs team we are searching for a Customs Coordinator (f/m/d) to be based in our Munich or Leipzig office.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Monitor incoming shipments

  • Maintain contact with freight forwarders and courier service providers

  • Handle import processes in compliance with foreign trade law and preferential law

  • Prepare of customs clearance instructions

  • Review, preparation, and audit-compliant archiving of documents

  • Reconciliation of incoming supplier invoices after verification of customs clearance

  • Preparation of post-clearance assessment and refund applications with the responsible customs authorities

  • Clarification of inquiries regarding customs clearance issues or delays with suppliers and service providers

  • Tariff classification of our goods

  • Data maintenance in the ERP system and internal data capture systems
  • WHO YOU ARE

  • Completed training, e.g. as a foreign trade clerk, freight forwarding and logistics services clerk, or a comparable qualification

  • Initial solid experience in the customs field, preferably supported by further training

  • Ideally good knowledge of import and preferential law

  • Fluent German, both written and spoken; English is an advantage

  • Sound knowledge of MS Office

  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Dynamics Navision is an advantage

  • Conscientious handling of customer data, a high sense of responsibility, and reliability
