Cyber Security Engineer – Infrastructure Focus | Financial Services
Location: Melbourne or Sydney (Hybrid – 3 days in-office)
Type: Permanent | Full-time
Salary: 160-170K including Super

Join a leading superannuation firm as they continue to uplift their cyber security capability. We’re looking for a skilled Cyber Security Engineer with a strong infrastructure background, experience in financial services, and the confidence to work closely with senior business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage security solutions across enterprise infrastructure (on-prem and cloud).

  • Collaborate across IT and business units to maintain strong cyber resilience.

  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events and vulnerabilities.

  • Provide expert guidance on infrastructure security and risk mitigation.

  • Partner with senior stakeholders, translating complex technical issues into clear business insights.

About You:

  • Proven experience in cyber security engineering within infrastructure-heavy environments.

  • Solid understanding of superannuation or broader financial services regulatory requirements (e.g., APRA CPS 234).

  • Confident communicator with experience engaging senior leaders and executives.

  • Proficiency with modern security tooling (SIEM, EDR, firewalls, vulnerability management).

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, AWS/Azure Security) are highly regarded.
