Pre-Sales Consultant – Cybersecurity (Banking)
Location: Mumbai (customer location: mostly Airoli, with occasional travel required to other locations)

Role Overview
We are looking for a security-focused Pre-Sales Consultant to support our strategic engagement with a large private sector bank. This is a highly consultative role involving close interaction with:
CISO & Security Leadership
Risk & Compliance teams
Audit & Governance functions
IT Architecture & Infrastructure teams
The role focuses on shaping security-led solutions, driving new pipeline, and positioning Softcell as a trusted long-term partner in regulatory, cyber resilience, and transformation initiatives.
While cybersecurity is the primary focus, the consultant should also have working knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, and modern enterprise architectures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Regulatory & Compliance Engagement
Lead security discovery aligned to RBI Cyber Security Framework (CSF)
Engage on CERT-In directions & compliance requirements
Support initiatives driven by: IDRBT (Banking technology & security research), IFTAS (Cyber resilience & threat intelligence for BFSI), Sahamati / Account Aggregator ecosystem (Data protection, consent, security controls)
Align solutions with audit, governance, and regulatory expectations
2. Solution Design & Positioning
Design and position solutions across: Network & Cloud Security, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Data Protection & DLP, SOC / SIEM / SOAR, Vulnerability Management & Red Teaming
Translate regulatory requirements into technical architectures
3. Consultative Sales Support
Lead Po Cs, Po Vs, workshops, and solution demos
Support sales teams with: Technical presentations, Architecture documents, Solution proposals, Engage with OEM technical teams and Softcell specialists
4. Emerging Security Domains : Identify use cases in:
AI / ML Security
Quantum-resistant cryptography
Zero Trust & SASE
API Security
Cloud-native security
5. Stakeholder Communication
Translate technical risk into business outcomes
Maintain strong documentation aligned with: Audit, Governance, Regulatory reviews
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years in Cybersecurity Pre-Sales / Consulting / Architecture
Strong exposure to BFSI / regulated enterprise environments
Hands-on understanding of: Security architectures, RBI CSF, CERT-In CSF, ISO 27001, NIST, Enterprise security platforms
Working knowledge of: IT Infrastructure (Servers, Networks, Virtualisation), Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience engaging with: CISO / CIO, Risk & Compliance, Audit teams
Comfortable leading workshops and Po Cs
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Good to have
Exposure to: SOC operations, Red Teaming, Compliance & audit programs
Familiarity with: IDRBT / IFTAS security initiatives, Account Aggregator security models
Emerging security domains (AI, Quantum, Zero Trust)
Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, etc. Experience with large OEM ecosystems
