D365 functional consultant with project operations expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations Functional Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Project Operations module, with strong functional knowledge of project management, resource scheduling, project accounting, and integration with Finance and other Dynamics 365 applications. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize solutions that drive operational efficiency and project success.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations Functional Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Project Operations module, with strong functional knowledge of project management, resource scheduling, project accounting, and integration with Finance and other Dynamics 365 applications. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize solutions that drive operational efficiency and project success.
Responsibilities
- Lead functional design and implementation of MSD365 Project Operations module.
- Gather business requirements, conduct workshops, and translate needs into functional specifications.
- Configure and customize Project Operations features including:
- Project planning and scheduling
- Resource management and utilization
- Project costing, billing, and revenue recognition
- Time and expense tracking
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration with Finance, Sales, and other D365 modules.
- Provide end-user training, documentation, and ongoing support.
- Conduct system testing, UAT, and ensure quality delivery.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Project Operations best practices.
- Support change management and adoption across the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong functional expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations.
- Hands-on experience with project accounting, resource scheduling, and billing processes.
- Knowledge of integration with D365 Finance & Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in requirement gathering, gap analysis, and solution design.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in agile project environments.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Dynamics 365 ERP/CRM implementations, with at least 2+ years in Project Operations.
