Apt Resources is seeking an experienced Dairy Farm Senior Stockman to join our client's operations. As a Senior Stockman, you will be responsible for overseeing the care and management of dairy livestock, ensuring high standards of animal welfare and productivity. This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and extensive knowledge of dairy farming practices.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the dairy farm and manage livestock care, including feeding, milking, and health monitoring.
- Oversee the maintenance of barns, equipment, and pastures, ensuring a safe and clean environment for the animals.
- Assist in breeding and reproductive management of the herd.
- Train and mentor junior stockmen and farm staff on best practices for livestock handling.
- Record and analyze data related to production and herd health.
- Ensure compliance with animal welfare regulations and farm policies.
