Data & AI Technical Lead - Innovation Hub

We are seeking a Data & AI Lead for a small Innovation Hub to deliver proofs of concept (PoCs) and reusable assets, for various usecases withn Financial Services, with a focus on GRC domains (AML, Financial Crime, Risk & Compliance).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of PoCs and reusable assets across financial services especially GRC use cases.
• Architect governed semantic data layers.
• Design cloud-native PoC solutions on AWS .
• Guide domain rationalisation for AML, Risk, and Compliance data.
• Identify and shape GenAI / LLM PoCs (e.g., case summarisation, data discovery).
• Ensure solutions meet security, governance, and regulatory expectations .
• Lead and mentor a small team of 2–3 engineers .
• Present outcomes and value to business, IT, and compliance stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Relevant years of experience of 10-12 years.
• Data architecture, data modeling, data virtualisation, and data integration experience is a must.
• Strong SQL skills with Python/Java programming skills.
• Strong hands-on experience with data virtualisation using Denodo is desired.
• Experience designing solutions on AWS cloud platform.
• Work experience in creating (Agentic AI) frameworks, reusable components/assets, and API integration are highly desired.
• Strong GRC domain expertise (AML, Financial Crime, Risk, Compliance).

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Working knowledge of LLMs / GenAI (e.g., RAG, vector search, AWS Bedrock).
• Experience designing AI-enabled data solutions.
• AWS and/or Denodo and/or Dataiku certifications.
