We have an exciting opportunity for an Senior Data Analyst to join our client’s dynamic IT team at an established mining company In Perth’s inner-city suburbs. This is a long-term opportunity to contribute to impactful data initiatives and grow your career.

Reasonability’s:

  • Work closely with data owners and users to gain a clear understanding of the company’s data models, business operations, and reporting needs.
  • Oversee upgrades, system changes, new implementations, and reporting developments for key business applications, ensuring cybersecurity measures are in place and changes are clearly communicated to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate updates to the data warehouse in collaboration with the IT Data and Analytics team.
  • Participate in the on-call roster and provide remote support for critical or time-sensitive issues.
  • Develop, maintain, test, and support Power BI reports and dashboards, and liaise with external vendors for advanced reporting solutions.
  • Manage change processes for major business system updates, including the development of change, test, backout, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure Systems and Networks teams to coordinate system and network-related changes.
  • Define and communicate application support requirements with both Corporate and site-based IT support teams.
  • Provide guidance to staff on best practices relating to data reporting, quality assurance, testing, and change control.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in line with the company’s IT policies and procedures.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the mining industry using Snowflake.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Power BI, Python, SQL and other data warehouse technologies desirable.
  • Familiarity with dimensional modelling (e.g. star schema)
  • Qualification in a relevant information technology field.
