Job Purpose

The Data Analyst/CAE Engineering Internship is designed to offer a technically focused, hands-on learning experience within the development of eDrive systems. The intern will be exposed to the complete Data Analysis and CAE processes, with a strong emphasis on practical engineering tasks.

Key responsibilities 

  • Data processing & analysis - extracting, cleaning, and organizing big sets of data
  • Developing scripts (e.g. in Python or MATLAB) to automate repetitive data processing tasks and reporting
  • Implementing ML algorithms to identify patterns in large sets of simulation data and predict component behaviour
  • Assisting senior CAE engineers in setting up and running structural, NVH or other simulations for iDMs
  • Preparing 3D models (meshing, cleaning geometry) and defining boundary conditions under supervision
  • Creating technical reports and visualizations to summarize simulation findings
  • Preparation in design reviews and inspections of mechanical parts and assemblies
  • Assisting in conducting mechanical testing, including data collection and initial analysis
  • Help investigate component issues and support root cause analysis activities
  • Follow engineering processes and quality standards throughout assigned tasks

What we are looking for 

  • Student of Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, IT, Automotive Engineering or a related field
  • Availability of minimum 2,5-3 days per a week
  • Very good written and spoken English is required
  • Willingness to learn new tools and processes
  • Self-directed / self-motivated personality

Preferred Requirements

  • Knowledge of Python or MATLAB for data manipulation and automation
  • Basic experience with tools like Ansys, Abaqus, Altair HyperWorks or Nastran is a plus
  • Having other programming skills will be beneficial
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets and draw logical conclusions
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • MS Office (Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Copilot)

Recruitment process 

  • CV Review - Your application and CV will be reviewed to assess your qualifications and experience in relation to the role requirements. 
  • Phone Interview (approximately 30 minutes) - This initial conversation is designed to discuss your background, expectations, and answer any preliminary questions. 
  • Technical/Final Interview(s) (1 to 1.5 hours, one or two rounds) - Conducted in English with the manager and an additional team member, this stage focuses on evaluating your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. The interview can be held via Teams or at our office.
