Job Purpose:

As part of HKMO Tech & Digital Services team, Data Analytics Manager collaborates with the local business teams (the 3 divisions of CHANEL: Fragrance and Beauty (FBP), Fashion (FSN) and Watches and Fine Jewelry (WFJ)), crunches large volume of local CRM & digital data, and perform advanced analytics to uncover business actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead local market specific data analytics projects:
  • Perform deep CRM analysis including client analysis, purchase path, omni-channel journeys (offline and e-commerce), digital campaign effectiveness, etc. Acts as the local data lead on building the data strategy of local projects in partnership with the Divisions and Corporate Functions Data Community. Connect the dots across different touchpoints and blends with agility 1st and 3rd party data, look-a-like audiences, contribute to design cookie-based journeys for anonymous clients, detect new activations opportunities Translate analysis into concise, compelling storylines for business stakeholders

  • Interpret learnings with pragmatism and translate them into clear business opportunities and actions:
  • Deliver deep insights with the appropriate analytics methodologies and techniques, enroll the regional and market teams and lead the integration of the insights in CHANEL systems Capable of simplifying complex data into simple messages. Work closely with the regional Digital Solutions team and HKMO Digital Business Partner & Activation Manager to ensure 100% consistency between local data deliveries and regional guidelines

  • eCommerce site / Omni-channel touch points:
  • Lead digital shelf analysis and generate actionable insights to optimize eCom and eMarketing operations (e.g., media, SEO/SEM, content, stock availability, funnel conversions, CLV, next best action etc.) Perform attribution analysis on the role of eCom as part omni-channel journey across awareness, recuitment, retention and reactivation Coach business stakeholder on the use of web analytical tools (e.g., Google analytics) Help stakeholders use analytics to define goals/KPIs and monitor performance to identify trends and opportunities

  • Participate in the Federated Data Platform discussions for HKMO market and develop analytical / reporting capabilities based on the business needs and aligned with the defined Region/Market framework
  • Partner with regional Digital Solutions team and HKMO Digital Business Partner & Activation Manager in implementing client algorithms such as segmentations, client tagging and predictive scoring in our clienteling tools and potentially e-commerce platforms.
  • Uncover, pilot and recommend omni-channel client journeys and/or personalization based on data and in collaboration with local marketing teams and Digital Business Partner & Activation Manager
  • Act as a key stakeholder in advocating / guiding / coaching local business stakeholders to make data driven decisions in day-to-day operations
  • Ensure data privacy by design on new local projects, is always on top of data privacy regulations in Hong Kong and Macau markets. Conscious of data security requirements from potential root causes to consequences.
  • Collaborate with the HKMO Digital Business Partner & Activation Manager and local business teams to build data solutions (aggregated views, automated reports, ad hoc analysis, predictive modeling, etc) which are business actionable.
  • Answer open business question with creativity and business acumen
  • Define omni-channel client journeys and design pilots
  • University graduate, preferably major in data engineering / statistics / mathematics or other related areas

  • 5-8 years of experience in an analytics role, preferably within the luxury industry and/or a Digital/CRM agency
  • Advanced experience in Data Bricks
  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce
  • Hands on with SQL and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of R and/or Python
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy
  • Logical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at any one time, and deliver results to deadlines
  • Ability to effectively extract and interpret business centric learnings - Be able to do storytelling from numbers to insights
  • Excellent analytical, data visualization, and written and verbal presentation and communication skills
  • Innovation mindset
  • Highly proficient in data visualization tools, especially Power BI
  • Self-motivated, dynamic and independent but also good team player with a sense of humor
  • SQL knowledge is a must
  • Knowledge of R and Python
  • Proficient in spoken / written English and Cantonese
