Job Title: Data Architect – Snowflake

Location: Ascendion Offices (Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Vadodara and Hyderabad)

Experience: 10+ Years (clear, continuous career progression in Data Engineering / Architecture)


Role Summary

  • Senior Data Leader responsible for owning Snowflake data architecture and leading an offshore data engineering team.
  • This is a hands-on architect + people leadership role, focused on support and continuous enhancements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and cost optimization
  • Define enterprise data standards: schema design, naming conventions, governance, RBAC/security
  • Design and review dimensional data models
  • Lead ELT transformations using Coalesce (preferred), dbt, Fivetran, Matillion
  • Provide architectural guidance for BI tools: Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Cognos
  • Lead, mentor, and govern delivery for an offshore data team


Mandatory Requirements

  • 10+ years in Data Engineering / Data Architecture (no career switches)
  • 2–3 years recent Snowflake experience
  • Snowflake Certification – Mandatory
  • Proven team leadership experience
  • Strong expertise in:
  • Snowflake architecture & optimization
  • Dimensional modeling
  • Modern ELT frameworks
