Job Title: Data Architect – Snowflake
Location: Ascendion Offices (Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Vadodara and Hyderabad)
Experience: 10+ Years (clear, continuous career progression in Data Engineering / Architecture)
Role Summary
- Senior Data Leader responsible for owning Snowflake data architecture and leading an offshore data engineering team.
- This is a hands-on architect + people leadership role, focused on support and continuous enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and cost optimization
- Define enterprise data standards: schema design, naming conventions, governance, RBAC/security
- Design and review dimensional data models
- Lead ELT transformations using Coalesce (preferred), dbt, Fivetran, Matillion
- Provide architectural guidance for BI tools: Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Cognos
- Lead, mentor, and govern delivery for an offshore data team
Mandatory Requirements
- 10+ years in Data Engineering / Data Architecture (no career switches)
- 2–3 years recent Snowflake experience
- Snowflake Certification – Mandatory
- Proven team leadership experience
- Strong expertise in:
- Snowflake architecture & optimization
- Dimensional modeling
- Modern ELT frameworks
