    Data Architect

    Job Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze business and technical requirements, design data solutions, test outcomes, and document changes in collaboration with cross-functional team members.
  • Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical data models of varying complexity to support enterprise systems, data warehouse, and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Collaborate with end users and subject matter experts to understand information needs and translate them into effective logical data models.
  • Facilitate data model reviews with developers, architects, business analysts, and subject matter experts to drive alignment and consensus.
  • Ensure logical and physical data models remain synchronized and accurately reflect data flows across systems.
  • Evolve enterprise data models over time and work with development teams to ensure consistent adoption across projects.
  • Promote and advocate for data modeling best practices and communicate their value across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain metadata documentation and ensure it is accessible to stakeholders who rely on it.
  • Write moderately complex to advanced SQL queries to support data manipulation, validation, and reporting needs.
  • Maintain business process documentation in coordination with process owners.
  • Analyze and resolve moderate to complex data modeling and data integrity issues.

    • Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of relational database technologies, transactional systems, data warehouse architecture, and data modeling tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL, with preferred experience in XML schema design, metadata management, master data management, data dictionaries, and enterprise data warehousing.
  • Ability to analyze complex data relationships and translate business requirements into scalable data models.

    • Education and Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in information technology, including hands-on experience with database systems, data modeling, or data architecture.
