Job Title: Azure Data Architect

Location: Hyderabad (Work from Office)

Job Summary

The Data Architect is responsible for designing, building, and governing scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures that support analytics, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and IT teams to ensure data solutions align with organizational strategy and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise-level data architecture including data warehouses, data lakes, and data platforms.
• Define data models, schemas, and standards to support analytics, reporting, and operational systems.
• Develop and enforce data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Guide and support data engineers and BI teams on architecture and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend data technologies, tools, and platforms .
• Ensure data solutions are scalable, reliable, and cost-effective .
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, quality, and reliability .
• Establish metadata management, data lineage, and documentation standards.
• Support cloud-based and hybrid data architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or architecture roles.
• Strong expertise in:
• Data warehousing & data lake architecture
• Relational and NoSQL databases
• Data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)
• SQL and performance tuning
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery).
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines , streaming data, and integration patterns.
• Knowledge of data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance .
• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with modern data stack tools (Snowflake, Databricks).
• Exposure to AI/ML data pipelines .
• Certifications in cloud platforms or data architecture.
• Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments.
