Data Center Engineer

About the role

As a Data Center Engineer at AdvanzIT Technologies Pte Ltd, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of the company's data centre infrastructure. This full-time position is based in the Central Region and will involve managing, maintaining, and optimising the data centre's network systems, servers, and related technologies.

What you'll be doing

• Configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting data centre network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls
• Implementing and maintaining server and storage systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Developing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimise the impact of potential outages
• Automating and optimising data centre processes and workflows to increase efficiency
• Providing technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients
• Participating in the planning and implementation of new data centre technologies and infrastructure
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve data centre operations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Centre Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong technical expertise in managing and troubleshooting data centre network, server, and storage systems
• Proficiency in configuring and administering network devices, operating systems, and enterprise-level software
• Experience with data centre automation and scripting tools, such as Ansible, Puppet, or PowerShell
• Familiarity with cloud computing technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Relevant certifications, such as CCNA, JNCIA, or RHCE, are highly desirable
