Job Summary

Estarta is seeking a skilled Datacenter Engineer to support Cisco’s Customer Delivery Engineering function. The role focuses on delivering high-quality technical solutions, resolving complex issues, and driving technology adoption across large-scale environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in data center networking, customer engagement, and solution implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Delivery & Technical Execution

• Deliver customer engagements and provide support for large-scale solutions and complex technical issues through deep domain expertise.
• Drive customer technology transitions by influencing solution design and service adoption.
• Build and execute simulations to validate complex issues, troubleshoot compatibility concerns, and support solution delivery.

Role-Specific Responsibilities

• Contribute to customer problem resolution and act as a technical escalation point.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to diagnose complex issues, identify serviceability gaps, and drive resolution.
• Provide expert technical guidance to address advanced customer challenges.
• Maintain and promote a strong, positive team and organizational culture.
• Continuously develop technical skills across core and adjacent technologies.
• Engage with customers and Cisco stakeholders to plan, design, install, configure, integrate, and optimize Cisco technologies based on project needs.
• Support pre-sales efforts and translate business requirements into technical solution designs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network systems to ensure optimal performance and stability.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco Nexus Data Center technologies, including VPC, VXLAN, and related features.
• Strong understanding of IP routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and IGRP.
• Proven experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Nexus platforms.
• Deep knowledge of HSRP and VRRP.
• Familiarity with Cisco router platforms and VPN technologies.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and datacenter issues.
• Understanding of encryption standards and secure hashing algorithms (e.g., AES, SHA-2).
• Proficiency with tools including Excel, PuTTY, SecureCRT, Notepad++, VS Code or Sublime Text, Windows CMD, Linux, and efficient web browser usage.

Scope

• Interacts with internal teams, customers, leadership, engineering groups, partners, field personnel, CAP Managers, and Cisco product organizations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 4+ years of datacenter technology experience.
• Cisco certifications such as CCNP or CCIE are preferred.
