<div>Job Summary: </div> <div>We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to join our client's data center installation team. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining low voltage systems and networking infrastructure within a fast-paced and high-security data center environment. The ideal candidate has experience working with low voltage cabling, fiber optics, and network equipment installation, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols. </div> <div> </div> <div>Key Responsibilities: </div> <div> Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling, including Cat5e/6/6A, fiber optic, and coaxial cables, in data center environments. </div> <div> Install and mount networking equipment such as routers, switches, patch panels, and firewalls in server racks. </div> <div> Perform cable management, labeling, and patching, ensuring all work adheres to established standards and best practices. </div> <div> Troubleshoot and resolve issues with low voltage cabling and networking equipment, performing tests and inspections to ensure optimal performance. </div> <div> Collaborate with data center engineers, electricians, and other team members to coordinate installations and upgrades. </div> <div> Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. </div> <div> Maintain high standards of safety and security, following all data center protocols and guidelines. </div> <div> Keep accurate records of installations, updates, and repairs performed. </div> <div> Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies relevant to low voltage systems and networking hardware. </div> <div> </div> <div>Qualifications: </div> <div> High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus (e.g., BICSI, CompTIA Network+). <br /> OSHA 10 </div> <div> Experience installing and maintaining low voltage cabling and networking equipment, preferably in a data center environment. </div> <div> Proficiency with cable testing tools and network equipment. </div> <div> Strong understanding of industry standards such as ANSI/TIA/EIA and BICSI. </div> <div> Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams. </div> <div> Familiarity with power distribution units (PDUs) and server rack configurations. </div> <div> Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. </div> <div> Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </div> <div> Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces and high places. </div> <div> Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed. </div> <div> </div> <div>Preferred Qualifications: </div> <div> Experience with hyper-scale data centers. </div> <div> Experience with structured cabling systems. </div>
