**Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2**
**Location:** Onsite - Northlake, IL
**Duration:** 6 - 18 Months (W2 Contract)
**Pay Range:** $27 - $30/hr. + Benefits & PTO
**_Day Shift & Night Shift, 12-hrs_**
**What's the Job?**
• Prepare, stage, set up, and perform **startups and shutdowns of IT equipment** , following specific instructions and safety protocols.
• Conduct **post-execution quality checks** to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.
• Diagnose and **troubleshoot hardware issues** , quickly identifying causes and performing **break-fix repairs** on faulty components.
• **Decommission hardware** for system refreshes, including **memory upgrades and OS rebuilds** .
• Monitor systems for **equipment failures or errors** and respond to program error messages effectively.

• **Computer Science majors** OR **CompTIA A+ or Server+ certifications** .
