Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Data Centre Engineer to join a major data centre development in Frankfurt. This is a long-term opportunity to work with a globally recognised engineering team delivering hyperscale infrastructure for one of Europe’s most advanced digital facilities.

You will play a vital role in the technical operation and support of critical infrastructure — including power, cooling, BMS, fire systems, and environmental controls — across a live or near-completion data centre environment.

Key Responsibilities


  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot MEP systems including UPS, LV/MV power, chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, generators, and fire suppression




  • Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency response activities




  • Support handover, commissioning, and operational readiness of mechanical/electrical systems




  • Interface with commissioning teams, subcontractors, and client engineers




  • Maintain logs, reports, and incident records in line with site protocols




  • Follow strict HSE procedures and escalation protocols for fault handling and service continuity


    • Candidate Profile


  • 5+ years’ experience as a Data Centre Engineer, MEP Technician, or Facilities Engineer




  • Strong technical understanding of critical systems: power, cooling, controls




  • Experience in data centres, hospitals, clean rooms, or critical infrastructure preferred




  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and commissioning documents




  • Excellent fault-finding and communication skills




  • Fluent in English (German a bonus)




  • EU work rights or valid work permit for Germany required
