Our client is a growing organisation based in Melbourne, operating in a technology-led environment across the Health Tech sector. The business is investing heavily in its data and analytics capability to support better decision-making, scalable platforms, and long-term digital growth across the organisation.

About the role

This Data Engineer role sits within the Technology function, reporting to the Platform Owner. The role works closely with engineers, architects, analysts, and senior stakeholders to design and deliver reliable, scalable data solutions that support enterprise-wide analytics and reporting.

This is a 12 months fixed term contract role.

Duties / Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines
• Develop and optimise data models and SQL-based solutions
• Translate business requirements into robust data solutions
• Support data quality, governance, and platform reliability
• Collaborate with stakeholders across technology and the business

Skills and experience

• 2–5 years’ experience in data engineering or similar roles
• Strong SQL and data modelling experience
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and cloud data platforms
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, or Python is advantageous
