About the Job

We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer with approximately 2 years of hands-on experience in Databricks, SQL, and Python to join our growing team. In this role, you will work with a well-known, highly respected brand on impactful data engineering initiatives, helping to design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.

We aim to fill this position by the 3rd week of January, so candidates available to interview and start within this timeframe are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks.
  • Write efficient, well-structured SQL queries and Python code for data transformation and validation.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and product teams to deliver high-quality datasets for reporting and analytics.
  • Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and documentation following best practices.
  • Assist in managing Databricks jobs, workflows, and cluster performance.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources such as APIs, relational databases, cloud storage, and SaaS tools.
  • Support data pipelines in a cloud environment (Azure or AWS).
  • Follow data security, privacy, and governance standards.

Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills for data transformation and analysis.
  • Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Basic understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed computing concepts.
