Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with 3–12 years of experience to join our growing data team. In this role, you will be the subject matter expert for our Matillion ETL/ELT ecosystem, designing robust pipelines that power our analytics and business intelligence initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

• Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and manage sophisticated ETL/ELT pipelines using Matillion.
• Optimization: Configure and optimize Matillion jobs to ensure high-performance data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Operational Excellence: Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues within data workflows to ensure maximum uptime.
• Cloud Integration: Work closely with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery) to streamline data integration.
• Best Practices: Implement industry-standard best practices for job scheduling, data transformation, and performance tuning.
• Collaboration: Partner with data analysts and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
• Governance: Ensure all data processes maintain high integrity, security, and compliance with enterprise standards.
• Documentation: Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for pipelines, workflows, and transformation logic.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 3–12 years in ETL/ELT development and data integration.
• Tooling: Expert-level hands-on experience with Matillion .
• SQL Mastery: Strong proficiency in SQL for complex querying, data transformation, and performance tuning.
• Cloud Data Warehousing: Proven experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
• Modern Data Stack: Functional knowledge of DBT (Data Build Tool) and data modeling best practices.
• Technical Versatility: Familiarity with Python, Bash scripting, or automation tools is a significant plus.
• Data Ingestion: Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and diverse data ingestion techniques.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical teams.
