Data Engineer & BI Developer

Role Overview

We're seeking a hands-on Data Engineer & BI Developer to join a major transformation programme. This rolebines data-engineering and BI Development - you'll design and optimise data pipelines in Azure/Databricks, build robust data models and deliver advanced reporting in Power BI. You'll also play a key role in migrating legacy Cognos and DWH estates to the Microsoft stack.

Responsibilities

Data Engineering

Build and maintain data pipelines and Lakehouse architecture in Databricks.

Optimise data performance (indexing, partitioning) and troubleshootplex queries.

Automate source data integration for efficiency and scalability.

BI Development

Design and deploy Power BI Solutions (including Paginated resources)

Develop semantic models, measures, KPIs and CDE's for accurate reporting.

Reverse-engineer Cognos logic and implement equivalent solutions in Power BI
