We are looking for a Data Engineer to join one of our Nearshote teams working on projects for international clients accross The Netherlands, Germany and other European locations.


You will design, develop, and operate data solutions that enable analytics, AI, and software applications to perform reliably and efficiently. This is a dynamic, client-facing role where you collaborate with Data Scientists, Architects, and business stakeholders to turn data into tangible business value.


What you will do:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based data platforms, primarily on Azure (experience with AWS or GCP is a plus).
  • Develop and operate ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and storage layers such as data lakes, warehouses, or lakehouses.
  • Work with SQL and Python or Scala, applying modern data engineering tools and frameworks (e.g., Databricks, Spark, Data Factory, Airflow, dbt).
  • Embed quality by design: performance, reliability, security, observability, and GDPR-compliant data handling.


What you are like:

  • Experienced in designing and operating cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures (lakehouse, event-driven).
  • Proficient in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Scala for data engineering patterns.
  • Skilled in building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines and working with frameworks like Databricks, Spark, Airflow, dbt.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security-by-design, and GDPR-compliant practices.
  • Excellent communicator with strong command of English.
