Role Overview We are looking for a Fabric Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize end-to-end data solutions on Microsoft Fabric. You will play a key role in developing scalable data pipelines, enabling analytics and AI use cases, and helping clients transition to a modern, unified data platform.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across data engineering, analytics, and cloud platforms while staying hands-on with cutting-edge Microsoft technologies.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain data solutions using Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Pipelines, Notebooks)
Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Fabric Data Pipelines, Spark, and SQL
Implement scalable data models for analytics and reporting
Integrate data from diverse sources (APIs, databases, SaaS platforms, streaming sources)
Optimize performance, cost, and reliability of Fabric workloads
Collaborate with analytics engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders
Apply data governance, security, and best practices within Fabric and Azure
Support Power BI semantic models and reporting use cases
Contribute to architecture decisions and client-facing technical discussions
Required Skills & Experience Strong experience as a Data Engineer
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (or strong experience with Azure Synapse / Data Factory and a desire to specialize in Fabric)
Proficiency in SQL and PySpark
Experience with data lake and lakehouse architectures
Familiarity with Power BI and semantic modeling concepts
Experience working in Azure environments
Understanding of data governance, security, and performance optimization
Nice to Have Microsoft certifications (Fabric, Azure Data Engineer, Power BI)
Experience with real-time or streaming data
Exposure to AI / ML workloads integrated with data platforms
Consulting or client-facing experience
