We are seeking a talented Data Engineer with strong experience in Google BigQuery , Python , and Apache Airflow to join our team and build dependable, scalable data pipelines. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large datasets, automating workflows, and collaborating closely with analytics, product, and engineering teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

This role requires a hands-on engineer who understands data modeling, orchestration, and cloud-based data platforms, and who is able to contribute to both new development and ongoing platform improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Python and Apache Airflow
  • Build and optimize BigQuery datasets, tables, and SQL transformations
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across data workflows
  • Develop reusable, well-tested Python code for data processing and orchestration
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for data pipelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline failures and performance issues
  • Contribute to documentation and best practices for data engineering processes

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Software Engineering
  • Strong experience with Google BigQuery, including SQL optimization and data modeling
  • Solid proficiency in Python for data engineering and pipeline development
  • Hands-on experience using Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
  • Expertise in working with cloud-based data platforms (preferably GCP)
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing principles
  • Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a distributed team
  • Minimum English language level of B1+

Nice to have

  • Experience with other Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow
  • Knowledge of data quality frameworks and testing practices
  • Experience supporting analytics or machine learning use cases
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
