The Role

We are seeking a technically strong and hands-on Data Engineering Lead to join our Data Operations team. This role is pivotal in designing, delivering, and maintaining robust data solutions that support operational excellence across our enterprise platforms. The role focuses on end-to-end engineering and maintenance of data pipelines and frameworks, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, governance policies, and business needs. The role also provides technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and DevOps teams, while actively contributing to solution design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build fit-for-purpose data solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and governance
  • Develop batch, near-real-time, and real-time pipelines using ELT/ETL tools (IICS, Informatica PowerCenter, DataStage)
  • Define patterns for data ingestion, observability, and consumption
  • Maintain technical data lineage across systems and platforms
  • Create complex SQL queries, data models (3NF, Kimball, Data Vault), and orchestration frameworks (Control-M, Autosys)
  • Work with stakeholders on solution design, cost-benefit analysis, and roadmap planning
  • Support metadata management, glossary alignment, and compliance reporting

What you bring

  • Deep experience in Data Operations within large-scale enterprise environments
  • Advanced skills in SQL, data architecture, and warehousing design (including SCD)
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and RDBMS/OLAP systems (Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence technical direction
