Role : Sr. Data Governance Consultant
Description:
We are looking for a Senior Enterprise Data Governance Consultant to lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide data governance frameworks for our European clients. This is a client-facing role requiring strong communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive functional expertise in data governance, with a solid understanding of governance frameworks, policies, and processes. Hands-on knowledge of Collibra is required to support governance initiatives, including metadata management, workflows, and data stewardship processes. The role demands a blend of business and technical acumen to establish effective governance solutions that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise data governance frameworks, including policies, processes, roles, and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to establish and operationalize data ownership, stewardship, and accountability.
- Develop workflows, business processes, and governance models to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Establish and maintain metadata models, business glossaries, and technical glossaries to enhance data understanding and consistency.
- Provide functional expertise in data governance platforms, with hands-on contributions in configuring and optimizing Collibra.
- Drive governance use cases such as GDPR compliance, data quality management, data lineage, and reporting governance.
- Support the integration of Collibra with source systems and other enterprise platforms to enable seamless metadata and governance operations.
- Configure user roles, privileges, and workflows in Collibra to support enterprise governance goals.
- Conduct stakeholder engagement sessions to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Lead functional discussions around data governance best practices, tools, and approaches.
- Troubleshoot and provide guidance on resolving issues related to governance operations and platform configurations.
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data management, with at least 5 years in enterprise data governance roles.
- Hands-on expertise of Collibra Data Governance Centre (DGC), including workflows, metadata management and user configurations.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, and practices, with a focus on functional implementation.
- Experience with business process modelling and regulatory compliance requirements, such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Collibra (e.g. Collibra Ranger) is a strong advantage.
- Proven track record of delivering Collibra data governance solutions in complex, enterprise-level environments.
- Knowledge of data quality management practices and their alignment with data governance processes.
- Strong analytical skills to address governance challenges and propose actionable solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in a client-facing, fast-paced environment while handling multiple priorities.
This role requires a seasoned enterprise data governance expert with functional expertise in governance frameworks and hands-on knowledge of Collibra to deliver impactful, client-aligned solutions.
