Data Management Lead

A leading global insurance organization is seeking a Data Management Lead to establish and scale its enterprise data governance program. This executive role will define strategy, frameworks, and policies to streamline data stewardship and master data management across the business. The leader will partner with senior stakeholders to align data initiatives with enterprise transformation goals and modernize metadata and reporting environments.

What You’ll Tackle

• Build and operationalize an enterprise data management and governance framework

• Establish data stewardship roles, policies, and procedures across domains

• Lead master data management (MDM) strategy and oversee data quality initiatives

• Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver trusted data products

• Define and implement data-as-a-product strategies aligned to business goals

• Partner with analytics teams to enhance metadata lineage, reporting, and insight delivery

• Extensive experience in data management, governance, or transformation roles

• Proven experience in the insurance industry (commercial or specialty lines)

• Hands-on expertise with MDM, data warehousing, and data quality management

• Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Databricks) and BI tools (Power BI, Cognos, Qlik)

• Executive-level communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities

• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, SQL, and metadata management practices

• Familiarity with AI/automation in analytics and data workflows

• Agile Product Owner certification or agile delivery background
