Role Overview

This role leads Aon's global metadata management capability and the implementation of the data catalog. Leveraging experience in data catalog solutions, the director advocates for global teams to record metadata within the catalog, enabling re-use and reducing the risk of data duplication.

Core Responsibilities

• Leadership: Provide leadership on metadata management, taxonomies, and the data catalogue across Aon.
• Metadata Management: Own Aon's metadata management policies, standards, and operating model.
• Data Catalogue: Lead the global roll-out of Aon's data catalogue solution (Alation) and advocate its benefits.
• Collaboration: Work with data leaders in global D&A teams to curate metadata and lead the Data Marketplace Community of Practice.
• Metadata Reporting: Monitor and report on data catalogue uptake and usage, taking action to maintain engagement.
