Role Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Operations Associate to support day-to-day project execution and data-driven operational activities. The role involves managing reporting deliverables, maintaining documentation and trackers, and supporting automation initiatives using Excel, Python (Pandas), and SQL . The associate will work closely with cross-functional and onshore teams to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Operations

• Lead day-to-day execution of assigned projects and operational tasks
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all reporting and data outputs
• Proactively track deliverables, dependencies, and timelines
• Own and maintain task trackers, status reports, and execution dashboards

Data & Reporting

• Extract, transform, and analyze data using SQL
• Create and maintain reports using Advanced Excel
• Support data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks
• Assist with ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests

Automation & Process Improvement

• Support automation of existing manual processes using Python (Pandas)
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements
• Develop reusable scripts and templates to improve operational efficiency

Documentation & Communication

• Own end-to-end documentation of activities, processes, and workflows
• Prepare SOPs, process documents, and execution guidelines
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and onshore teams
• Lead and participate in internal and onshore discussions to ensure smooth execution

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have Skills

• 1–2 years of experience in data operations, analytics, MIS, or similar roles
• Strong proficiency in Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, formulas, data validation)
• Working experience with Python (Pandas) for data manipulation and automation
• Strong SQL skills (Joins, Subqueries, Aggregations, Functions)
• Good understanding of data workflows, reporting, and operational processes
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to automation frameworks or scripting best practices
• Experience working with onshore/global stakeholders
• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Understanding of Agile or project execution methodologies
