Data Platform Engineer - Contract
Location: Perthshire - 2 days onsite
Contract: 12 months - Outside IR35
Rate: £350-£400 per day
A well-known luxury hospitality and leisure organisation with a global reputation for excellence is seeking an experienced Data Platform Engineer to support and evolve its modern data platform.
This is a hands-on contract role with end-to-end ownership across data engineering, analytics enablement, and platform operations.
What you'll do
Design, build, and optimise ELT/ETL pipelines into Snowflake and Oracle using SQL, Python, and modern orchestration
Own platform performance, observability, and cost optimisation (FinOps)
Deliver well-modelled, business-ready data products and certified Power BI datasets and semantic models
Implement robust data governance, quality, security, and GDPR-aligned controls
Operate the platform day-to-day: monitoring, alerting, CI/CD, and incident management
