Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms that support analytics and business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data engineering, cloud technologies, and data integration, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across all data systems.
- Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and data architecture.
- Implement data integration solutions for multiple structured and unstructured data sources.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data platform and pipeline issues.
- Automate data workflows and optimize data processing performance.
- Continuously improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of data platforms.
- Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand and meet data requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
- Provide technical support, guidance, and best practices to team members.
- Stay up to date with emerging data engineering technologies, tools, and industry trends.
- Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure to build and manage data solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Strong experience with SQL and No SQL databases.
- Solid understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and schema design.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data integration techniques.
- Experience with AWS services, including familiarity with Redshift.
- Familiarity with Apache Spark and/or Kafka.
- Experience or exposure to Vertica is a plus.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Basic understanding of machine learning and AI concepts is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
